Pamela Love's Summer Solstice

Pamela Love created her first fashion film for her Spring Summer 2013 collection. The video, directed by Skye Parrott, features model Crystal Renn with music by Devendra Banhart. I love how this season is such a departure from the last, which was inspired by art deco architecture in New York, but still embodies Love's style. SS 13 was inspired by the overgrowth of nature and features some of Love's signature pieces wrapped in vines and sprinkled with insects. 

The Natural

I love how natural the makeup for this shoot is. I usually do a small cat eye with liquid eyeliner every day, but the plain dewy lid might be something new to try. I've heard Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream or MAC pro clear gloss are how its done.

Prada Spring 13 Nails

I loved the Mary Quant inspired Prada SS 13 collection but since I'm currently not in the market for a floral fur coat I thought some nail art would suffice. 

Thrifty

Scored a vintage greek fisherman's hat on etsy and these amazing maroon velvet Ralph Lauren smoking slippers at Beacon's Closet (among far too many other things).

I feel like such a classy old man.

Of course there is another Hemingway, and of course she also won the genetic jackpot and is a total babe. Not only is Langley Fox a stellar model like her sister Dree, she also did all the illustrations for this editorial.

Lady Crush: Marianne Faithful

I watched an amazing documentary on Marianne Faithful today and couldn't help a girl crush. My boyfriend's dad told me I looked like her when we visited over christmas, its probably just the blonde, bangs, and cat eyes but I'll take it.
